Following the success of the 14th Head of Service, H.O.S Games at the Agege stadium, the Lagos state sports commission, LSSC, is planning to organize a comprehensive training programmes for the Lagos state Public Servants.
Its chairman, Shola Aiyepeku, who was at the final of the H.O.S Games, said he had discussed with the commissioner for Youth and Social development, Segun Dawodu, on the need to establish a sustainable training programmes which would keep the public servants fit and perform excellently on their duties.
Aiyepeku, who noticed that most of the players who featured in the finals of male and female football events were not fit because they did not create room to exercise regularly.
The LSSC boss, said working with the commission's for Executive chairman, Deji Tinubu, would propel him to elevate the status of sports in the state as innovative ideas would be introduced to widen the horizons of the state's athletes.
Aiyepeku, who appreciated Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu's passion for sports development, said his vision and commitment for sports excellence, tallied with the commission's Director General, Toyin Gafar Bolowotan and honorable Segun Dawodu.
