
The Head coach of Golde Eaglets, Monday Odigie, has assured that the team would be ninety percent ready before the squad file out against Congo in the African Youth Championship.
The former Assistant Coach of Golden Eaglets, said he was still building a team which would attract young football players whose real ages are in line with FIFA'S speculated age for the tournament as he has been searching for young football players wwho are well endowed with football skills.
The former Flying Eagles Coach, said all the selected football players from the various grassroot competitions would be properly screened of which a team of seasoned coaches have been assigned to visit the players schools and parents with the view of ascertaining their real age and age cheat.
He promised to surpass the feat the team's former Head Coach, John Obuh, achieved at the last FIFA under 17 World Cup held in Nigeria in 2009 as he said that the team would subjected to intensive trainings.
Odigie who was at the final of the just concluded Lagos State GTBank Principals Cup at the Teslim Balogun Stadium had selected six players from the tournament as Adeyemi Taiwo, Osuji Kingsley, Azeez Olaniran, Ibrahim Jamiu Fatai and Folayajo Samson were the players from the principal cup.
