
The prayer of a young Nigerian football player, Popoola Sodiq has been answered as the midfielder of 36 Lions Football Club would soon apend his signature for Olympiakos Football Club of Greece in August.
Sodiq who was dropped from the last Nigeria's Golden Eaglets a week to the FIFA Under 17 World Cup held in Nigeria was first noticed in Dubai when the Golden Eaglets went for an invitational tournaments.
During his trials with the club's feeder's team in April, Sodiq scored five from seven goals as his creative passes and marking paved the way for him to seal a deal with the Greece based clubside which would come to limelight in August,2010.
Sodiq, who was annoyed over his being dropped out of the Golden Eaglets, said his intention is lunch himself back into the new Golden Eaglet as he would turn 17 years old next year, adding that playing in Greece would polish his style of football and stand him out among other Nigerian young football players.
Sodiq, who is being managed by Gafa Liamid wants te Nigeria Premier League through the Nigeria Football Federation to develop the league in a bid to improve the standard of football in Nigeria.
The player who described Xabi Alonson of Barcelona has is role model, said he had video clips of the player in a bid to study the player' style of play and it has really helped him to understand football better.
