Lagos State To Unveils Fans Parks

As part of efforts of creating an enabling environment for Nigerian Soccer fans to enjoy the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, the Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Youth, Sprts and Social Development has concluded plans to oraganise fans parks ahead of the soccer mundial which would attract over two hundred thousand tourist to South Africa as well as the participating countries.

The project Manager, Sotonwa Oluwaseun, said the project which was an idea of the state government is being back up by MTN Nigeria as Teslim Balogu Stadium and Campos Square Mini Stadium are the two accreditted centres for the Fans Park.

Sotonwa,informed sportsweight.blogspot.com that the two Fans Park centres would be unveiled this Friday through eleventh of July as the soccer would have opportunity to watch all the matches through a giant screen.

Sotonwa, said the Parks which would be decorated to taste accomodated soccer fans would serve as an avenue to reduce stress of corporate individuals and other teeming Nigerian soccer fans who would need not have to rush home to be part of the World Cup as the centres would be alive with series of activities lined up to make the venues friendly as expected.

According to him over two thousand soccer fans are expected to patronise each of the fans park as it thevenues would be fortfied with enough security personnels to curb crime and also to make thecentres a worthy place to enjoy good football.

As usual such a place would give room for teeming soccer fans to delibrate on football issues as football coaches, corporate individuals as well as football administrators among others would be at the park for the fun of the World Cup.

The centres according to him, MTN subscribers at each of the centres would have opportunity to register their SIMS as the gesture is in line with the National Communication Commission.
