Chairman of the First Deepwater Basketball Club, Babatunde Babalola, has assured that the team would be regenerated ahead of next year's basketball tornaments.
Babalola, who is the Managing Director of First Deepwater Discovery, said the club's management has concluded arrangements to wield out the team's old basketball players and replace them with agile players.
He said the club's management would be beaming its search light on the Nigerian league as well as West African basketball players who are well endowed in the sport like the Angolans who according to him were highly mobile, stressing that the move became imperative in order to reposition the team's philosophy to win international laurels.
The sponsor of the 17th FIBA African Champions Cup For Women, said the club's management was satisfied with the team's third position as he explained that the position was an indication that First Deepwater Basketball has improved when compared to the last edition where they were ranked seventh.
He said the club had been able to streched its stronghold in the Zenith Bank/NBBF Women Basketball League winning the league back to back within three years of its existence but there is need to extend such on the continental basketball championships.
