Ayeni Hails Adopt - A - Talents Sports Programme.

Chairman House Committee on Youth, Sports and Social development, Honourable Babatunde Ayeni, has commended the fforts of Special Adviser to the Governor on Grassroot Sports, Prince Wale Oladunjoye for intiating the idea of Adopt - A - Talents Sports Programme.

Ayeni,who with Sportsweight.blogspot.com at the official launch of the programme on Tuesday, said he supported the programme because it align with his vision of regenerating Nigerian sports through grassroot sports.

He said the Adopt - A - Talents Sports Programme was also a means of empowering the youths through dynamic sports programme which would arouse their interest at tender age, stressing that serious sporting nations delve into simlar sports programme which turns out to produce world class athletes.

According to him, Lagos State stand the chance od reclaiming its glory in sorting activities as he believed that talents discovered through it wold have become elite athletes in the next couple of years, thus wining laurels in any organised national competitions.
