The Lagos State FA Cup commenced on Monday at three centres across the State as clubs have started to display their readiness to claim the title this year.In some of the games played, Sky Football Club outclassed their D Thunders opponents by 5 goals to 1 at the Onikan Stadium.
It was also a harvest of goals for Young Stars Football Club as they drubbed Rod of Jesse 5-0 at Legacy Pitch, Surulere.
Similarly, My People FC began their campaign in this year’s FA Cup on a good note with a resounding 5-2 victory over Real Football Club.
The match was played at the refurbished Agege Stadium.
In today’s games; M.F.M. Headquarters FC will battle A. One Crystal FC at the Legacy Pitch, Surulere, Maryland Athletics will play against AS Rascine at the Agege Stadium; Kelly Football
Academy will lock horns with L.S.D.P.C FC at Onikan Stadium while Yobo Football Academy will try Young Strikers for size.
The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) Chairman, Seyi Akinwunmi recently announced the sum of N1m (One Million Naira) as total prize money for this year’s FA Cup and it has already reflected in the standard of play at the first few matches.
