Shomolu F.C won their first game of the League 2 season of Lagos Junior League with a hard earned victory over Lekki F.C at the Campos Mini Stadium over the weekend.
Shomolu FC had previously lost three games and drawn two and sit in the relegation zone.
The team quickly made their intentions known with Uche Duru scoring in the 17th minute, the Lekki boys were not planning to go down easily and drew level four minutes later.
Coach Oluwole Santana of Shomolu F.C responded with a series of tactical changes and in the 39th minute his changes paid off with Victor Okafor precision shot finding the back of the Net.
Lekki F.C were not able to respond before the break but 5 minutes after the restart they lived up to their stubborn reputation and equalized through Saliu Jamiu.
Victor Adigwe of Shomolu shot down the Lekki boys for the last time in the 70th minute to give Shomolu a fighting chance for a place in League 1.

The Agege Giants endured a scare on saturday evening at the Alade stadium after going three goals up Agege Giants allowed 10 man Bisi Boys of Ayobo Ipaja to score two goals in quick succession and set up a tense last ten minutes.
Bisi Boys could not capitalise on the momentum and score an equalizer as Agege Giants remain at the top of League 2A.
In other matches played,Iba beat Igando Ikotun by three unreplied goals as Epe Alaro outwit Eredo by a lone goaljust as Agboyi Ketu walloped Ikosi Isheri 3 - nil while Imota defeated Coker Aguda, 3 - 2.
