MTN Street Soccer Is A Platform To Restructure Nigerian Football, Paul Bankole.

Season 5, MTN Street Soccer Championship has been described as a platform to develop a structured Futsal football in Nigeria.

Paul Bankole, a teacher of Brazilian football who made this statement while speaking with sportsweight.blogspot.com, commended the competition title sponsor, MTN Nigeria Plc and the Lagos State Government for initiating a laudable developmental football programme which is the bedrock of football improvement.

Bankole, who was among the facilitators who handled the Rules and Regulations session during the seminar to usher the tournament, said most of the European football playing nations have resorted to Futsal football through their various football academies based on its outstanding and technical depth of football skills.

He said the Spanish team that won the just concluded Euro 2012 football championship were able to achieve such feat because the nation's football authourities resorted to Futsal football programme and its  efficacy has helped Spain to emerge the winner of the last held FIFA World Cup in South Africa, in 2010.

He added that the England Football Association had also accepted the programme which would be launched very soon, adding that Brazil F.A had also adopted similar programme which would be stretched for a  period of fifteen years.
