Oshodi Praises MTN Plc Over Five - A - Side Football Competition.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development, Wahid Oshodi lauded the title sponsor, MTN Nigeria Plc for keeping faith with the competition, which is now regarded as the best Five - A - Side football competition in the country.

Being one of the major competitions in the calendar of the state, Oshodi, said one of the innovation for the season five was the introduction of the female and corporate events, which he believed would add glamour to the championship.

He said the Player Mentoring Programme wass a two-pronged programme that will focus initially on identifying the best players of the competition and secondly on coaching, nurturing and mentoring those players after the competition has ended.

He  said that with the season five kicking off, this demonstrated the commitment and support of MTN to youth development through worthwhile sports competition.

With the coming in of corporate bodies like Access Bank, Staco Insurance and La Casera, Oshodi believes this year would witness an exciting event.
