Eaglets tackle Diamond Stars Academy On Wednesday

Nigeria's Golden Eaglets will on Wednesday play against Diamond Stars Academy in their first training match since resumption last week in Calabar for their second-closed camping ahead of the 2013 CAF Under-17 qualifier against Niger in September.

Eaglets Coach, Garba Manu, said the players were responding well to training and would need to be exposed them to the rigours of match situations in future matches.

 Manu, explained that the players needed more quality matches probably against Nigerian Premier League clubs as recently advocated by former Eaglets coach, Fanny Amun, who advised that the team's technical crew should engage the players in a friendly match against established national league teams in order to fortify the squad.
