The Police Rugby Football Club defeated Warri Rugby Football Club by twenty points to twelve after the match ended six points apiece in duration time.
Warri RFC were determined to output the Police boys as they put up a good challenge in the first half which ended six points apiece while the Police Rugby Football Club wrapped up the match in the extra time of the exciting match.
In the Shield final, Kaduna Rugby team defeated Eco 2 by 24 points to nil while Lagos Rugby Football Club subdued Ilorin in the Bowl final by 7 points to nil while Barewa Rugby Football Club outwit Racing Rugby Football Club by 21 points to nothing.
Head Coach of Police RFC,Micheal Abiodun Johnson,who attributed the team's feat to hard work,dedication and the players determination to record an outstanding performance at the event,adding that they always have an edge over the Warri RFC whom he regarded as a dogged team.
Johnson who believed that the team's strength enabled his team to defeat the Warri RFC,said the Nigerian rugby clubs need regular competitions through the involvement of corporate bodies and Sports philanthropists to change the face of Nigerians Sports.
He said Police Rugby Football Club could not feature in 7s rugby competitions in Turkey and Spain because they could not attract corporate Sponsors to finance their traveling expenses.
