Hundreds of soccer fan from different walks of life converged on the Campus stadium on Wednesday for the second edition of Chief M.K.O. Abiola soccer competition as the match between former Abiola Babes and All Stars of Lagos ended three-all draw.
The competition which was in honour of late M.K.O. Abiola who died fifteen years ago, pitched former Abiola Babes football club and All Stars Lagos in an event which was full of fun.
The team, Abiola Babes F.C that paraded Moses Kpajor, Yisa Shofoluwe, Toyin Ayinla, Friday Ekpo, Mutiu Adepoju, Bright Omokaro, Wasiu Ipaye, Waheed Akanni and Gbenga Okunowo, Demeji Lawal among others displayed scintillating skills to show that they are old but still possess football skills.
Jide Adeniran and Olomo Tulaga scored a goal each in the first half to make the scoreline two-nil as Raymond king skills failed him.
Toyin Ayinla and Friday Ekpo who scored through a spot kick made it two all as Olomo Tulaga again made it three-two but Bright Omokaro of Abiola Babes concluded the game with a late goal.
The competition was organized by Nigeria’s International, Tajudeen Disu with the support of Lagos State government through the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroot Sports Development.
