Golden Eaglets Head coach, Manu Garba (MFR) would perform a major role as a father on Saturday when he gives out his first daughter in a grand marriage ceremony in Gombe.
The Nikah between Faiza Manu Garba and Muhammed Kabiru Ibrahim, who incidentally met at the School of Nursing in Gombe, is expected to hold at Mallam Usman Kafinta Mosque in Herwagana district in the ancient town.
A devoted Muslim, Garba said he was happy along with the rest of the family since this is an important injunction in the Holy Quran, adding that he is very proud as a father.
“As a family, we are extremely happy that this event is going to take place on Saturday,” said Garba. “Personally, I’m happy because it is stated in the Holy Quran that there is a special reward for parents who are able to raise their kids especially daughters, before giving them out in marriage.”
It was learnt that Faiza who is fondly called daddy’s girl, is a final year student of the school of nursing where incidentally her beau is an instructor.
Manu is blessed with four children- a boy and three girls-and he had once spoken highly of his adorable family.
“I’m married with a very beautiful and God-fearing wife and I have four children,” he noted. “My first son is named Mubarak and we call him Sheik Mubarak because he’s quite intelligent. Under one year, he was able to memorize the Holy Quran offhand.
“His immediate sister (Faiza) is in the Nursing School; she is intelligent as she passed her WAEC Exams in flying colours.
Others are still in the secondary and primary school and I really thank Almighty Allah for giving me such a wonderful family,”he added.
