All is now set for the 2010 ipNX Rookies Basketball Tournament schedule to hold betweem December 20 and 24 at the Basketball Courts of the Nigeria Police College, Ikeja and the Sports Hall of the Mobolaji Johnson Sports Centre, Rowe Park, Yaba, Lagos.
The year's edition according to the tournamnet Coordinator, Mark Balogun, would be bigger in terms of sponsorship and organisation as he opined that the tournament woulld features Under 18 teams from across Lagos State and other states of the federation in the boys and girls categories.
Balogun, added that the tourney would also feature Under 16 and Under 14 in the male cadre in the five days tournament.
He thanked the sponsor – ipNX Nigeria Limited for supporting basketball development in Lagos State in particular and Nigeria in general.
“The 2010 ipNX Rookies Basketball Tournament will dunk-off on Monday December 20 at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos with the grand finale fixed for the sports hall of Rowe Park Sports Centre.
“The tournament still retain its flagship cadre, which is the U18 boys and girls with other categories of teams being accommodated.
“I am confident that this year’s edition will be bigger in terms of sponsorship and organisation as we are currently discussing with our sponsor – ipNX Nigeria Limited on a long term sponsorship of the tournament which is the best organised youth competition in Nigeria today.
