Unity Bank Football Team have won the 2011 edition of the Kaduna Corporate League Cup after beating Fidelity Bank by four goals to One in a match played under floodlight at the Kaduna Township Stadium.
Tukur Abdulahi and Abubakar scored a goal each to end the first half two - nil after Fidelity Bank were on the defense while Unity Bank were playing offensive football which paved the way for the two goals.
Kabiru Abdulganiyu scored Fidelity Bank only goal as Tukur Abdulahi and Aliyu Mohammed increased the tally to four goals to One.
David Adeleke was voted the best goalkeeper of the tournament, Victor Simon of Fidelity Bank was adjudged the tournament’s best defender, Isuan Dauda of Zenith Bank as the best Midfielder, Abdulrasheed Mustapha of Skye Bank was the highest goal scorer, best coach award went to Aminu Suraj of Unity Bank while Tukur Abdulahi of Unity Bank won the Most Valuable Player Award.
The Chairman of Kaduna State Football Association, Abdulahi Magaji Kapaka, who presented the trophy to the champion, said the event has achieved its objective of fitness and socialization among the staff of banks within the state and its environs.
The tournament was organized by Bestworth Brokers and Supported by Wadson International and Berstway International.
