Delta State Still Dominate Swimming Event.

Delta State has continued to dominate swimming event of the 18th National Sports Festival tagged EKO 2012 Games as seven events were decided on Tuesday at the swimming section of Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Delta State amassed a total of eleven medals of 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 4 Bronze medals to clinch the first position on the medals log.

Kingsley Forcados, who won Delta State first Gold medal on Tuesday in the 200 metres individual medley men, returned with a time of 2:20:94, also picked a Gold medal in fifty metres Butterfly with a time of 27:38 as the Delta State swimmers cleared the Gold medal in the 4 X 200 free style relay men.

 The presence of Edo State was visible in the swimming event as Ajakaiye Victoria won two Gold medals in 200 metres backstroke and a Gold medal in 400 metres individual medley women.
