100 Members of Nigeria Football Supporters Club Join Eagles In Brazil

Written By sportsweight.blogspot.com on Monday, June 17, 2013 | 6:44 AM

Lack of funds have deprived enough members of the Nigeria Football Supporters club to be in Brazil to drum support for the super eagles featuring in the FIFA confederation cup as only one hundred of the club's members are in Brazil.

First Vice Chairman of the club, Isaac Ebi Siawe, who made this statement in an interview with Sportsweight.blogspot.com, said each member of the club was made to pay the sum of four hundred thousand naira as ticket fees having granted visa - entry to their members.

Siawe, said the club had financial support from Globacom Nigeria Plc but it was not enough to take enough members to Brazil for the FIFA Confederation cup, adding that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, did not deem it necessary to support the club's quest to drum support for the Eagles.

He said the club would now concentrate on Eagles next FIFA qualifying match against Malawi and subsequent matches in the World cup qualifiers.

The super Eagles will today play against Tahiti in its first match of the Brazil 2013 FIFA Confederation cup.
