Plateau Football Association,P.F.A has thrown its weight behind
the suspension of Plateau United feeders team of Jos, Akurba F.C of
Nasarawa in match played Saturday, sixth of July at Bauchi, in the
Division Three of Nigeria Nationwide League.
In a released signed
by Sunday Longbap Samson and made available to
Sportsweight.blogspot.com, indicated the P.F.A move was as a result of
the scandalous match results where Plateau United Feeders of Jos
defeated Akurba FC of Nasarawa seventy nine - nil in the lowest tier of
the Nationwide League Division.
To this end, the Plateau
Football Association and the management of Plateau United Football Club
have set up a six man committee which would inaugurated today at the
association secretariat.
The committee is to be headed by Ezra
Simon Godit, who doubles as the Deputy Chairman of Plateau State
Football Association to investigate the outcome of the match and report
back in seven days.
Other members of the committee are Coach
Jimmy Ndoma, Mr Joel from the Ministry of Sports, David King, Gambo
Sunday while Stephen Dayok is the Secretary.
The association
thanked all stakeholders and accepted the concern of the President of
the Nigeria Football Association through the Association's secretary in
tackling corruption within the Nigeria football circle.
