Nigeria's sensational table tennis player, Aruna Quadri, has attributed his defeat to Omar Assar of Egypt in the just concluded International Table Tennis Federation,ITTF, World Tour tagged Lagos Open, to lack of concentration.
Quadri, who defeated Ojo- Onaolapo, by four straight set, 13 - 11, 11- 9, 11- 5, 11 - 7 in the semi final clash, said he gave his One hundred percent best but Assar played better because he is in good form, adding that he failed to take advantage of his chances.
The ping ponger, who played professionally in Portugal, said he would
have won the Men's Singles final if he had won the fourth set after he
won the second and third set, 15- 13, 11- 7, stressing that he did not
play under any pressure because he had the overwhelming home support who trooped out in large to sheer him to victory.
He advised the National Sports Commission, NSC, to support the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation,NTTF, coaches to tinker some of the national players who are participating in table tennis circuits in Europe.
