Former Super Eagles assistant coach, Fatai Amoo, says Nigeria's indigenous football players have a herculean task to perform in a bid to earn regular invitation to play for the Super Eagles.
Following the outcry from Indigenous players, football fans and stakeholders on the neglect of the players in the Super Eagles, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has enjoined the boss of Super Eagles, Genot Rohr, to visit match venues and also to reside in the country
Amoo, said players from the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, should endeavor to re-double their efforts against the nation's foreign based players who were exposed to modern football facilities and train under football coaches who were ranked among the best in the world.
The former Sunshine Star coach, said some of the country's foreign based players stand a better chance to earn regular invite because they play with the best world class players at their respective clubs in Europe.
He stressed that with determination, dedication and passion for the game of football, some of the indigenous players, could be invited to the team.
