Odibo Wins Metro Pro League Player Of The Month Award

Nath Boys' striker, Godwin Odibo has awarded Lagos Metro Pro League' Player of the Month in April.
Odibo's performance in the month of April was well deserving of the award as he banged in 4 goals in as many matches as well as two man of the match performances.

Odibo was presented the award in his club's barren draw against Bridge FC at the Agege Stadium on Thursday commended the Metro Pro League for the honour done him, promising to post quality performance in the league. 

Odibo born on 15th of August 1997.


He is the 4th and last child of his family. He honed his skills at a tender age and joined Nath Boys Football Club of Lagos in 2011.

The left footed prolific striker wears the feared jersey number 9.

Meanwhile, Apapa Golden Stars defeated AS Racine by a lone goal in other Metro Pro League Week 18 fixture.

Metro Pro League: AS Racine tames 36 Lion FC.

A brace from Lasisi Gafar and Bayo Ogundele's strike restored AS Racine's Metro Pro League title chase as they defeated 36 Lion FC by 3-0 at the Agege Stadium on Monday.

Racine's Gafar converted a spot kick and added another via a superb strike, just as Bayo Ogundele grabbed the third goal to further compound 36 Lion's woes.

With this win, AS Racine have jumped to 5th position with 7 points on the Metro Pro League log, 2 points behind Bridge FC while 36 Lion who are yet to pick a win are still rock-bottom.

In a post match chat, AS Racine's General Manager, Mojeed Adegbindin, believes the league is still far from over as men will soon be separated from the boys.

"I was a difficult game but we are happy with this victory. Though, we started very slowly in the Metro Pro League but we are hopeful on winning more games.

"36 Lion are also a good side. You can't take anything away from them because they have quality players and the management is fantastic.

"They gave us a fight for our money but our players were battle-ready for this challenge and they went for all three points. I strongly believe, we can take it up from here and create some upsets as the Metro Pro League progresses," Adegbindin assured.

Meanwhile, Metro Pro League Week Six games will be played across various centers in the state and the league management has enjoined football enthusiasts to come and cheer their teams to victory.
